DRD Visit

I drove to Lafayette, IN to visit with my dad last weekend.
He had been busy in his wood shop for several months making various pieces of furniture for my shed.

Here is the router table he built from scratch.
He also gave me the router that goes inside the cabinet.
Very NICE.

And here is a cabinet for holding tools and hardware and whatnot.
It's got peg board on the inside and out, which is good for hanging hand tools and things.
A nice design element is the cleat that runs the whole length of the back of the cabinet, which will make it so much easier to mount in the shed.

We had a nice visit. Got some chores done and went out to eat a couple times.
Once to Red Lobster and once to Arni's Pizza (a Lafayette institution). Yum

Vanity Dry Fit

So here is a first look at the custom vanity and faucet.
The base will be stained and sealed.

Meanwhile, the tiling continues.
Terri says to me last night, "I didn't realize it was going to take so many sessions to finish this thing."
I suppose if we started before 9pm each night we might be able to speed things up a bit.
Oh well.

Tile and Rough-In

I realized there were a couple pics that didn't make the blog...
So here you go.

This is the rough-in after the plumber came the first time.
He will come again when everything is pretty much done to attach the fixtures.

Here I am doing something.

So Terri and I tiled last night for a couple hours.
We're just getting to it a bit here and a bit there.
But we're making progress.
